Back in the early 1960's, my husband had an LP album by the duo Ha'Dudaim that he and his brother recall fondly.
They recall the title as SONGS OF THE DUDAIM, & have come up with two song titles: "The Lion of the Desert" and "Shayeret Ha'Rochvim". It would have been recorded sometime around [or shortly before] 1960.
[Morris recognized the second title from the tracks-list in the duo's THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY album in an online listing; the one in English is from Jim's memory.]

Anybody out there
[a] recall the album
or
[b] know if a copy can still be got somewhere
or
[c] actually have a copy and is willing to sell it
?

I found 6 albums here, including a 5-CD set. Unfortunately, there are no track listings.

Amazon has one of your songs available for download.

There's a lot of older Israeli music on Youtube (Duda'im, Ran veNama etc.) Well worth trawling through the Interweb!

Hi, I recently started a playlist page with tons of old Israeli music on youtube called "Playlist Maven." My absolute favorites are the Dudaim. The first link I'm giving you has over 700 clips of the Dudaim, including songs, performances, TV appearances and interviews. It's huge! The second is 140 or so songs...I've pared it down to my favorites. Chances are you'll find what you're looking for on the big playlist but there are lots of early songs that slipped through the cracks and are not on youtube.

I recently (12/21) tried to order the 5 CD Dudaim set from Israel-Music.com. I tried to order it twice, both resulting in that they take the money and they don't send any CDs. Don't deal with these charlatans. Better to make a watchlist on ebay if the LP or CD comes in, and you'll be notified.
