Subject: What would your Top 100 be? From: JennieG Date: 30 Nov 11 - 09:23 PM The Ozzie public broadcaster is currently running their Top 100 pieces of music written in the 20th century, as voted by listeners. In past years they have had Top 100 Mozart pieces, Top 100 Concertos, Top 100 Symphonies - it's predominantly a classical music station, although they play some interesting folk/world music - but it set me thinking: What would our Top 100 Folk pieces be? Not only songs but tunes, performance pieces, anything.....from any era. Have fun, and be nice! Cheers JennieG |

From: JennieG Date: 30 Nov 11 - 09:27 PM Forgot to say - each person who posts doesn't have to nominate 100 pieces, or this thread would end up bigger than Ben Hur! Just anything you think could be included, should such a hypothetical list exist. Cheers JennieG |

Yesterday the radio announcer mentioned that over 900 pieces were nominated, and the 100 which made the final list gained the most votes. We've even had 'Peter and the Wolf' - fun! Cheers JennieG |
