Thanks, Barbara. I remember he had Chris on his radio show. Pretty sure he'd be pleased.

How nice to hear Rick's name, kat. Nice to know his heritage is continuing.

I just received the nicest gift from Banjo Bonnie aka Little Neophyte. It's a new CD called "Old Dog" and is by Chris Coole, who was a student of Rick Fielding's. Sweet Bonnie dedicated the one she sent me, to our old dog, Merlee, who passed in Aug. 2010.

This CD has superb banjo-picking, beautiful, funny, and rambunctious songs and tunes. Several songs made me cry, esp. the one called "Wasn't that fine." Made me think of my dad. He's got great back up musicians, too, some names most of you will recognise.

If you go to Chris Coole.com and follow the links, you can listen to some of the tracks. GREAT stuff! Rick would be proud!

Thanks, Bonnie!

Sinsull, darlin'..you need to hear Chris playing banjo!
