Subject: RE: Folding light guitar stand? From: Fossil Date: 14 Dec 11 - 11:39 PM I second Mark Ross - the Fender is the one to go for. Light, compact, stable, comes with its own bag. I bought mine in the wonderful Haight Ashbury Music Center several years ago (but they are sold in many other places) and have taken it everywhere I go with the guitar. Never could understand why people pay megabucks for a good axe and then lean it against the wall for any idiot to knock over. At least on a stand, it looks as if someone loves it! And here's a tip for the guitar teachers out there - try and get your students to buy a stand and get into the habit of taking the guitar out of its carry case and putting it on the stand every time. Then it will get a lot more playtime! |

Subject: RE: Folding light guitar stand? From: banjoman Date: 14 Dec 11 - 05:04 AM We always carry a couple of Pub props with us as thet are small and in their own leather pouches. Clam to any table top or most chair backs and very useful in crowded pubs clubs etc. A good alternate to a folding stand. |

Subject: RE: Folding light guitar stand? From: Ross Campbell Date: 13 Dec 11 - 07:45 PM I use a K&M type which fits my Ritter soft case. I found a "Pinnacle" branded stand on eBay which looks similar to Guitar Stand Stagg Universal Folding Stand for Electric or Acoustic [#01067] . It fits in the top compartment of my twelve-string's hard case. It's not adjustable. At 12" long it's equal to the minimum length of the Stagg (12"-15") and probably wouldn't fit in a six-string case Also found these on eBay :- Cooperstand on YouTube which look very neat - also very expensive, I think I'd need to see one up close before deciding whether they're worth it.
