The magazine is nicely laid out too, although the paragraphs were a little too wide for my eyes. I liked the Godinette interviews, though, and the Gerard Kilbride and Taran article was simply amazing.

I was dissapointed about the lack of video, though.

Thanks for the feedback - your comments will be duly noted and taken on board! We have had some really nice and constructive compliments from readers, which makes us all the more ready to carry on. We are already starting to plan our next issue, and I know that it's going to be great.

Wales has this hidden but extremely rich traditional culture. We want to write articles about the wonderful Plygain Christmas carols, the mysterious Mari Lwyd tradition, the beautiful music of the crwth, spectacular Welsh dance and clogging, the history of the Welsh triple-harp, the fantastic CD released by the 60-strong Y Glerorfa, which is an offshoot of the educational-minded CLERA... I could on, but I shall not!

Meanwhile, Wales offers a stunning and very visual home to the musicians who have settled here, and great artists plan to play a number of the arts centres and theatres around the country - take a look at our comprehensive Listings, whick covers the whole of Wales.

Folkwales salutes our traditional Welsh artists, especially Mered Evans and Phyllis Kinney who have contributed so much to the culture of Wales - and we have not even scratched the surface...

I see you have The Village Quire booked for this Wednesday at Llantrisant Folk cluc - how I wish I could be there, their singing is wonderful!

It's a bit too far to come from Manchester.

Well done. You should be proud. I liked the review of the Sara Grey and Kieron Means concert. I have seen them several times and every concert was first rate and different.

My grateful thanks, Mr Happy! We do try to use Feedback for venues who are not running any more or have started a session or an event, but a couple of hundred miles is a big problem.

Mick

Has anybody SEEN Brendan Power and Tim Edey? Read the Haywain live review in Folkwales Magazine - absolutely stunning, hugely entertaining Celtic contemporary music!

A suggestion, since Folkwales Internet Magazine is still out of date as regards listings, despite updates being sent recently; wouldn't it be it be better to lose them altogether to avoid confusion?

More power to the old elbow, Mick! Glad to hear you are still gigging.

My sincere apologies, Mr Happy! Of course you sent info to me recently, but with a welter of details flooding in, the updates were sunk and never seen again. I'll update your info this afternoon, I promise... and I'm glad that you have moved the folk club from the New Inn so promptly!
