I'm delighted to tell you that Sheila Stewart has been named "The Citizen Of The Year," by her hometown of Blairgowrie. I know she is over the moon with the award - well done Sheila.

Official 'process' happens after the festive season, but Sheila was thrilled when we were speaking earlier this evening.
This is an immense thing for the family, a long-overdue recognition.

Congratulations! She and her mother were great inspirations to me when I met them at Scottish Week at Augusta Heritage Arts workshops in the 80s. What a brilliant singer and a lovely person.
