Thank you, Will. My Granddaughters will love this. As, indeed, do I. The Drifters certainly spanned the decades, didn't they?
All the very best to you and every body here from Charlie in Dunfermline.

For great Doo-Wop carol singing, check out The Blenders on YouTube.

Good stuff, but I wouldn't call them Doo-Wop. More acapella - and there's something indefinable about the Drifters...

But let's not quibble over a Christmas card! :-)

Cheers, Will. Doo-Wop Christmas, eh? Well, for something truly unique, here's The Qualities singing under the direction of none other than Sun Ra (on harmonium!)

PS - That was recorded in Chicago, 1956... a mere two years after folk music was born.

Thanks for this Will - it's a beauty!!!

Now, a question for the technically inclined....

I'd like to send this to my daughter (who isn't into Mudcat) but I can't copy the Blue Clicky.

Please, how do I copy the URL into an ordinary email so it becomes a Hyperlink?

Thanks

Dave

Dave,
Most email providers have a "link" button so that you can add clickies to your email. It's usually identified by an icon that suggests a "connection" and if you click that, it gives you a box for posting the URL and another box for posting the title/text.
I know that AOL, gmail, and yahoo offer this for people who have mailboxes with them.

Even if it doesn't arrive as a hot link, she can cut and paste it into the address bar at the top of the page and open it from there.

Genie,

I found that Hyperlink button but still got no joy so I cut my losses and searched for the clip on Youtube. It is there (search on White Christmaas The Drifters) and their Share followed by Embed option works just fine.

Thanks to both you & SRS for your trouble.

Dave

Love it! And the video is at least as good as the audio.
