Thanks! Looks like a lot of work, well-done. I recognised the tune to Dig Me A Clam as one Art Thieme has on one of his recordings, but I can't remember the name of the song he sing. It's got the same chorus "lie-dil-dee-dee" (or however it is spelled) and I know it has the words, "there's many a..."

I found your interests and background very interesting, too. Everytime we listen to St Olaf's Christmas Concert on PBS, I'll be reminded of you.:-)

Thanks for sharing!

My new year's project has been to revise and update the song and tune pages of my website.

The song page contains the lyrics with notes and links, and for most, a pdf file with the score, and a midi file or a mp3 file of me singing the song. I have updated the links and added new information as well as links to myself or others singing these songs.

The tune page contains a pdf file of the musical score, and for most, a midi file or a mp3 file of my playing the tune on my fiddle.

A new category is "Slow Airs." Because slow airs are often in free form (free rhythm and meter) they are difficult to notate exactly as they might be played. In addition, different players may have different interpretations of these tunes. Here I have played my own interpretations in the mp3 files.

Let me know what you think of these pages. This is an ongoing project, and I will be adding more midi and mp3 files as well as more tunes and songs.

Cheers, S. in Seattle
