Sheesh, Maeve; women fully dressed head to toe, not even dancing...what kind of an excuse for entertainment is that???

(That's real purty; thankee, ma'am)

Thanks m... that's great stuff and I gonna share that in a group I am in on Facebook. These guys are mostly into Rock big time but I throw everything folk at them. It's the least I can do to attempt to broaden their horizons. >;-)

Yes, lovely harmonies, Maeve, and I'm thinking of you.

Good news that Billybob felt well enough to get up and make tea.

Waiting for news about Tommy.

And of course still concerned about Tam and Charlie's Ann.

As am I. I like maeve and Janie "haulin" line a lot. I check this thread a lot but lately haven't been posting much. My thoughts are with all and especially now as we all seem to be having some issues. Now is the time for that support we all give freely and need so much. I never think because someone hasn't posted lately they are not reading and caring. I know you are and I hope you know I do as well. This thread is the only reason I come here anymore.......

I'm okay but the past few weeks have been a bit rough. The last chemo session hit me harder and took longer to get past although the previous one was a breeze.....go figure.   Doing well now so again....go figure. The one thing I am sure about is this beats the hell out of how I was last April!

Okay Gang....I'll be checking back of course and posting more at least til the next chemo in Mid-October. I love you all!

Yay for Tommy and the Spaw

For all your good wishes I am in awe

Was on the mend or so I thunk

Until under fever again I sunk.

I was actually well enough to sleep in my own bed Thursday and Friday night without too much coughing. Was trying to give TheSilentOne some peace as he had work. This evening, I have fever again and sweats. Streaming nose is back and wracking cough. My rib cage hurts so much.

Not one to be ignored, my right foot is big as ever.

Spaw, I'm sorry your recent chemo was a rough one but I'm glad you are doing better.

Tam, I wish I had something that could take your pain away.

Pete, I hope Tommy continues to improve and is soon well again.

Maeve, thank you for the music.

Back on line...builders gone, electricians gone, gassman in attendance...no hot water or CH!

Echoing what ChanteyLass has said.
I've just come from Charlie's thread & it's there I want to concentrate my energies for the moment. He & his belovéd wife, Ann fill my thoughts. Powerless to do anything, but not powerless to think & hope.
Holding you, Charlie & Ann in our loving thoughts,

Still no hot water or CH, but that pales into insignificance when I think about Charlie & Ann.
Janie, the coffee was just fine. Can't take it too strong.
Spaw, you said you felt "dammed good today". How I rejoice to read those words.

A chorus for the crew: "In this windy old weather, stormy old weather, when the wind blows we'll all pull together". I forget the song from which this comes, but I'm sure one of you will remember.

I could not agree more Nigel.....Down the road he'll need us far more and I hope he will come over here and join the crew.

Side note...Except for some pain in the ass mouth sores related to the chemo, I feel better than I have in over a year. My current treatments cost about $13,000. per month but the support this place gives me is priceless.

Thank you all!

I'm headed out early tomorrow afternoon to the Getaway up in Maryland, then over to the Eastern Shore to visit my sis, then to WV to visit Mom so won't be on-line much for the next 10-14 days. Heart and mind always present, however.

Glad things are going good, Pat old friend....

I have been on a downswing lately...nothing major just coping with my own mind....it's amazing how things can go so amazingly well on some fronts...like on the literary and art front for me....but crappy in others....like in the personal front...but then I view this thread and realise that many others have things alot shittier than I...it's hard to remember that when you're feeling sorry for yourself.

My best wishes for you all.

Years ago, sunny Sunday morning on a caravan site in the South of France. Went to the camp shop and bought some bacon. As it was sizzling away in the frying pan, caravan door and windows wide open, the aroma starts drifting around the site. Pretty soon there was a trail of people heading for the shop...

Yum, yum!
