Subject: The Cookie Crumbles From: Larry B. Date: 07 Oct 99 - 11:49 AM When I try to get to my personal page, sometimes I get a message inviting me to join. Following the link to the membership page shows all of my information still in place. Sometimes when this happens, the trace links still appear in the forum, and sometimes they don't. Resetting my cookie hasn't worked, and neither has deleting it using file manager, then trying to reload it (my information still appears) anyway, the problem goes away on its own eventually (in an hour or three), with or without rebooting (which doesn't consistently restore normalcy). It's only a minor inconvenience but it's really weird, and I don't know enough about the software to troubleshoot it. Doess anyone know what may be going on? LB |

Subject: RE: Help: The Cookie Crumbles From: Max Date: 07 Oct 99 - 12:34 PM What browser do you use? Sound like IE, but which version. When you delete your cookie manually, you must restart the browswer for it to know. |

Subject: RE: Help: The Cookie Crumbles From: Larry B. Date: 08 Oct 99 - 10:17 AM I am using MSIE 4.0. I did restart the browser, but I don't think I rebooted the computer; I didn't think that would make a difference. I only found two mudcat cookies in my temporary internet files. Should there have been more? LB |
