Better late than never but a Happy New Year to one and all -lets hope! I know that there has been various announcements for this Event but, for those who haven't yet heard about it, on the 2nd March, The Sage's 'One Night in Gateshead' series of Folk Music events is celabrating 50 Years of family singing at The Elliotts folk club in Birtley.

This 50th Anniversary Concert is presenting 'four of the finest folk music families in the North East of England' who are getting together for the first, and probably only, time to celebrate the fact that the tradition of family involvement in folk music in the region is still alive and kicking.

The families taking part are The Doonan Family; The Wilson Family; The Unthanks and The Elliotts themselves. Tickets are only available from The Sage at www.thesagegateshead.org
I'm sure it will be a brilliant night so, if your in the area, try and get along.

All the best, Tom Wilson

FLight booked already from Ireland for this concert. Coming over on 29th Feb and staying a week taking in 2 nights at Birtley (29th and 7th March) and the Welly amongst other things.

This will be a great concert and a great celebration week.

Give it another go, it'll be worth it! If you're still having difficulties try ringing 0191 443 4661 and book by phone (like we always used to.)
