Well, Lewes could be possible for the Sat song session - hour and a half drive, 3 hours song, stay sober, hour and a half back.

Bude OTOH, 5 1/2 hour drive (each way)

I am aware of those alleged events last Hop Fest in the Crown and Anchor on the Friday, and others differed on the facts, but I probably even if in that town would not happily be in the Crown and Anchor.

Any news on the Elephant?

Vic, are you there re: Lewes?

Faversham is being run by a volunteers committee. The short sighted council won't even do the risk assesment and bear liability for health and safety, despite how much revenue the festival brings to the town. The web site is done when the committee get round to it, I know they are working really hard to keep the festival going.

The Bull hosted PM sessions last year, and Dead Horse did the lunchtime slot. Not large numbers but a nice variety of quality players and singers.

The usual excellent Crown and Anchor session was drowned out a bit on the Friday night by some musos turning up late and playing over loudly in an adjacent room. Odd that, folk people are usually so considerate. I think they must have realised as they went elsewhere on the Saturday night, but I don't know where. There are lots of pubs in the Town.

Thank you banjoman, you may or may not be right. Are there any different folk (song)sessions planned the coming year, not at the Crown and Anchor? I had a very nice evening one year in the Elephant but I see the landlord is in trouble -

Thank you Vic, I have had a look at that site. What is the camping situation and what is the (song)session situation? I can't see any info about those on the website.

I thought you knew I had dog and will have dogsitter (younger, fitter, and more lacking in social niceties than me, he plays in a metal band) in residence too.

Time to start planning the year!

April 6-9 private Easter party
April 14-Mon 16 daughter's wedding
May 4-7 Rochester Sweeps' fest (gig on the Monday)
May 25 gig at the Goose is Out.
June 8-10 Pig's Ear Kentish Horse minifestival
June - private BBQ Mottingham? (Those who know, know)
June 20-24 Knockers Summer Solstice
July 6-8 There is Travelling Folk Song Ale
Aug 3-10 Sidders
Aug 10-17 Broadstairs - I did something else last year, can't remember what)
Aug 17-20 White Horse Wantage I think.
September 21-23 Knockers Autumn Equinox not sure of dates
Sept 13-16 Deal I think but their website is down

What else should I be doing? I'm sure I should be inserting a number of Good Intent Beer fests.    Who else should I be tapping up for gigs for RC4?
