From: GUEST,Tunesmith Date: 08 Feb 12 - 08:04 AM Now, Kevin Littlewoods' "On Morecambe Bay" is up for best song at tonight's awards, but how, exactly, did it come to Christy Moore's attention. According to Christy, as related on the "Late, Late Show" on Irish Tv, he came across it while surfing on the internet- presumably via Mudcat. However, Mike Harding - on his radio programme - says that Christy learned about the song as the result of Mike sending him a recording of Kevin's original version ( which appeared on The Bothy Folk Song Club's home produced cd). Maybe the truth will out tonight! |
