About two months ago I started recording seasonal songs for 52 Folk Songs; Advent songs, Christmas songs, New Year songs and songs for long nights and cold days.

The white album is now (finally) available for the usual token payment; you can download it here (complete with hidden tracks, lyrics and notes) and read more about it here. Here's a summary:

Songs: 14 (including 2 download-only 'hidden tracks')
Traditional songs: 11
Authors: Sydney Carter, Seeger & MacColl, Dave Goulder
Instruments: whistles (D, C and high G), recorder, flute, reed organ, melodica
Songs with multi-tracking: 13
Songs with vocal harmonies: 8
Proper three-finger chords played on the abovementioned melodica: 6
Hidden tracks: Moving On Song, On Ilkley Moor Baht 'At
Influences: Dolly Collins, Dave Burland, Bob and Carole Pegg, Steeleye Span, Tony Rose, Rapunzel & Sedayne, Jon Boden

I'm now hard at work on the next batch of songs, which are mostly Child ballads and mostly sung unaccompanied (although I have recently acquired a zither of which I'm rather fond).
