No - I like tekking! Seriously though - Thanks for the correction, Nigel :-)

That big wooden ladder over a stone wall can be circumvented by walking the whole of around 100 yards down the road, Mr H! But I guess you were not to know. It is pretty much an established camping place rather than a 'wild camp' BTW - There are people there every time we go.

Cheers

I used to have an extended version of an acronym, but I've been poorly.....

DtG:
Do you discuss the intricacies of amplifiers, mikes & soundboards?
Or should the extended version of the acronym have said "Trekking".

Cheers
Nigel

reminds me 'bout 10 years ago assessing how to 'wild camp' rear Station pub - you had to climb a great wooden ladder over a big stone wall, no way!

Went on the pay campsite instead

Sorry John - The proximity only just struck me a day or two back becuase I need to get myself well for it! Had some sort of tummy bug and decided you can't have one of the SHITS having the shits can you? :-)

Anyway - It's around this time every year. We don't walk anywhere near as far as we used to - Usualy about 6/7 miles nowadays but we do sing and drink a lot! Shame you can't make it as you would be more than welcome.

Cheers

Dave

Bugger, soddit and balls - we've JUST arranged to go away this weekend, otherwise I would have been delighted to join you.

If you do it again can you let me have a wee bit more notice.

Enjoy yourselves!

If you get the shits at Ribble-head Viaduct
Sad to say, you're really in a mess
For the wind whistles over the moorland grass
And there ain't no place to wipe your brow

It's that time of year again - The Swinton Hardy Intrepid Tekking Society are having there annual parole review at the Station Hotel, Ribblehead, this coming weekend (17-19 Feb). Come along if you must but don't say I didn't warn you...
