There was a man with a tongue of wood
Who essayed to sing.
And in truth it was lamentable.
But there was one who heard
The clip-clapper of this tongue of wood
And knew what the man
Wished to sing,
And the singer was content.

This is always worth remembering when having sing arounds
makes it less painful

Although over on this side of the pond it is not yet the 10th, that is a great thought for the day, wildlone! My niche in this community is to get others to sing, and sometimes there are those with "tongues of wood" who go home overjoyed that they have made music- sometimes for the first time in their lives. I take no credit, other than for facilitating a situation that gives a critical mass of people a chance to open their mouths and sing together.

to me it is autobiographal? but the more I sing the better I seem to get.Yeah the UK is 5 hours in front of Mud cat
