Bobert, I think "Jesus Is my Rock" is by Rev. Gerald Thompson. I don't think Provost does Faith music, at least not on a regular basis. However, I have never heard him. About a year ago I went with friends to the Healing Co-op to hear Joe Jencks and put my name on their mailing list but haven't been able to get back for another concert. However, I support the mission of that non-profit, which is to help women with cancer in a holistic way. That is explained better on its website at the link above. While I don't live close to the co-op (about an hour away, which in RI is considered far--we have to pack a toothbrush if we go that far--local joke), it is on the same street as my son and his family's house (so I do go there twice a week to babysit). No, he's not at Stone Soup which is on a mid-winter hiatus. Dave Provost will perform a benefit concert for and at The Healing Co-op in Middletown, RI. That's on the same island as Newport. Great music and a great cause! Ticket info and other details are here.
