Subject: Visiting UK; folk club information? From: Celtaddict Date: 15 Feb 12 - 08:52 PM I am heading to the UK, mainly to visit my son and his lady in Bristol, but we will be traveling around a bit, in the south. The trip is Feb 9-Mar 8 and daily itinerary is being made up as we go along. We will be in Cornwall, Bridport, Kent, London, possibly Wales. I know about Bodmin Folk Club on Saturday. I have spoken with Misha about possibly going to C# house and a club in London that night if we can work out a Tuesday. Does anyone have any other suggestions? |

It would have been a hoot to take my kids to Bodmin and see Jeff, of course! But it would really be nice to get together if we can make it work! We are gathering information and will sit down and figure where to go when after I arrive. Thank you to all! I am really looking forward to this trip and upcoming ones as well! (They have emigrated, so I will be visiting more than once.) |
Subject: RE: Visiting UK; folk club information? From: TopcatBanjo Date: 16 Feb 12 - 10:40 AM If you like a bit of bluegrass as well, then Bristol Bluegrass Day is taking place at the Folk House there on Sat 3rd March and should be pretty lively, with workshops, jamming and concerts including the wonderful young band Jaywalkers, who fuse many aspects of bluegrass and folk.
