Bobad mentioned this on another thread; I just spotted it at The Atlantic online: a lovely little (20 min.) documentary film called Pickin' & Trimmin', about an old barbershop back room blugrass jam, in Drexel, North Carolina. (The link is to atlantic.com, where there are a few notes from the film's creator, too.)

At a North Carolina barbershop, the atmosphere is laid back, the conversation free, and the music a cut above the rest. An engagingly genuine slice of old time Americana.
