I have 2 of his albums, Roll on Buddy, and Jack Elliot & Derroll Adams.
Spent an evening with Derroll one time, and he slept over at my place in Richmond (Surrey) Cool guy.

The link below will take you to two English guys that were inspired by Derroll & Jack.

Frank was fortunate enough to see them in the late 50's but I am not sure if Dave ever saw them both. He was certainly impressed when he first heard them or very soon after.

It's taken from Derroll's version of an American version of an old British song.

I am gratified to find that Danny has a website on Derroll. I knew him in the Fifties in Los Angeles. In my possession is a picture of the back of Derroll's head with Woody Guthrie playing harmonica and me, as a young man on guitar at a party in L.A.

Derroll should be remembered as one of the leading revival folk singers and a fine fellow.

It is a shame that so few of his recordings
are available, they are wonderful.

Excellent web-site, thanks for the heads-up.

Cheers, Thomas.

All I am getting is a blank white page though I see a tiny photo of Derroll in the address bar. I've long had the same problem with the Davy Graham and Les Cousins pages. Either someone doesn't like my taste in music or I've got something wonky with my computer. Any suggestions anyone?

David E.
