Time once again for the North Texas Irish Festival , March 2 through 4 at Fair Park in Dallas, featuring ten stages of entertainment. Admission is a mere 15 bucks, which gets you a stellar lineup of musical talent , including Mudcat's own incomparable Seamus Kennedy; the new culinary stage with Dallas' top chefs preparing Irish and Irish-themed menus; the popular Celtic Horse demonstrations, acres of festival shopping; the Irish dance stage; Urchin Street with lots of activities for the children fee whisky and wine tasting for a modest fee; and (good news) we will also be selling beer. The DART Green Line stops right at the festival gate!

Make sure to stop by the O'Flaherty Irish Music Retreat booth for great session music all weekend, too!

Yes sir! The best music at NTIF isn't always on the stages, but that's true at a lot of festivals, isn't it.

Oh, and be sure to buy something from my wife while you're at the O'Flaherty booth.

Sorry I'll miss it this year. I'm in AR and TN this week, but wish y'all the very best!

And I hate to miss Seamus!

Jed, will you be at the Scottish festival at UTA? It's earlier (they moved it to early May to spare us the heat - thankfully they finally got smart!)

Woo Hoo! North Texas Irish Festival starts tomorrow night. Free admission from 6 to 7. Seamus Kennedy on the Star and Harp Stage at 8:00. I'm pouring beer as usual and will cheerfully pour a free one for any mudcatter who shows up at my station.
