Thanks very much, Mrs. Deadlyhen. I've been playing the tunes, and it looks like a wonderful resource.

A Chairde / Dear Friends,
The latest ITMA set of interactive music scores is now available on our website http://www.itma.ie/digitallibrary/score/neal/
It contains the forty-nine tunes of the first-ever collection of Irish music, which was published in Dublin in 1724 by John & William Neal as A Collection of the Most Celebrated Irish Tunes Proper for the Violin, German Flute or Hautboy, and which consists of harp tunes and Irish-language song airs current some 300 years ago.
The music notations of the tunes (several in alternative versions) can be viewed on screen, listened to online, played back at different speeds and in different keys, stopped and started, etc.
ITMA has also published an illustrated 118-page facsimile edition of this collection, including extensive background information, notes on the individual tunes, song texts, and various appendices, in association with the Folk Music Society of Ireland (<="" span="">href="(http://www.itma.ie/itmashop/product/neal/">(http://www.itma.ie/itmashop/product/neal/)
