Hey there MudCat Mates, I heard something about Christy Moore coming back to the performing circuit. He is not only my all-time fav. irish performer, but my all-time fav. performer, PERIOD. I'd die to see him and be very grateful for any information anyone could supply. Thanks!

Christy is indeed back in action - keeping to relatively small venues for now, in Ireland, Also just released a new CD (called "Traveller", I think).

Hey Savis,

I know Christy is highly regarded as a solo act but I'm only really familiar with him as a member of Planxty. He recorded about 4 albums with them back in the seventies. Irish music just doesn't get any better than that (IMHO). Their first recording "Planxty" still floors me.

Christy Moore did a song the lyrics to which I am dying to get. The chorus ran "Hey Ronnie Reagan, I'm black and I'm pagan, I'm gay and I'm left and I'm free. I'm a nonfundamentalist environmentalist - Please don't bother me."

Rosie, if the lyrics aren't at the Christy Moore lyrics site, they are definitely in the Christy Moore Songbook. I'm sure that one of us can post these in the next day or two as required. Regards, John
