I really don't think that term is used in the US. We have everything from small groups that get together in someone's home to huge regional umbrella organizations that are involved in all aspects of folk and ethnic music and dance. What do you mean by it?

I mean the type of small non-alcoholic club where both professionals and amateurs do sets of their foik songs or songs they have written.
