Hello everyone
just a quick note to let you know that we have Ken Wilson ( of Wilson Family fame) at the White Hart on Saturday 24th March ( that's this coming Saturday). Because of the arrangements surrounding Jim Wilkinson's funeral, as some will know we had to postpone Bill Adair's booking until 2013, which meant we had a gap in the calendar, which Ken has very kindly agreed to cover.
Ken is a fine singer and has a great repertoire of songs. So pass the word around, and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday evening.

Ken runs the 'Welly folk club' in Wolviston village near Billingham, on a Thursday night. The White Hart folk club is in for a treat, Ken is a fantastic singer! but I think you should maybe tell people where the White Hart is, I presume its the one at Mickleby near Whitby...

thanks to Ann N, and Dick for providing directions. My fault I should have included directions to the club, and thanks also to Dave Bell for maintaining our web pages.
The club is very friendly and welcoming, and if you have a peek at the web site you will see we have some great guests booked for the rest of the year.
We have a great collective of very good local singers and we always have vistors turning up from around the country.
Mickleby is a lovely village and is surrounded by the North York Moors and is close to the fantastic coastline north and south of Whitby.
Looking forward to Ken's performance on Saturday, come and join us.

Wish I could make it but the logistics don't allow it. He is a fine singer as previously mentioned and we don't hear enough of Ken's solo material. Have a lovely evening.

I agree we don't 'hear enough' of Ken on his own, but he did release a fantastic CD a year or two ago, which I think you can still purchase via the Wilson Family website.
