I hear that the festival has been cancelled but have heard nothing from the organisers yet

According to the website on 19/3/12 they added Cockney Rebel and John Otway and Dervish.
Does not sound like it is cancelled.

Official Wickham website shows the festival is happening.

It's a bit of both - the Easter festival has been postponed and merged with the August one. If you can't make the August event, then your Easter event tickets should be refunded.
