Hello Catters!

Mawkin are hitting the road again with a new album, its taken about 18 months to make this record so please come along to one of our shows and let us know what you think.

We've got a great show in a gorgeous venue at The Weston Auditorium, Hatfield, Herts on the 21st of April with Eliza Carthy, Jim Causley and support from Hannah James & Sam Sweeney - a mini festival! Please come along - well worth traveling for at only £8.

Hope the gigs and the CD go well, David...

'It's All Quiet'

Steve got the inspiration for this song after Vaughan had written to me, asking me not to write about 'Witness' but to let folks make their own minds up...I told him it would be 'all quiet on the South Western Front'...and he wrote, through a friend, to say thank you for the inspiration for a new song...

Thanks Leveller! Would be great to see you again! (and that guitar!)

Hi Lizzie! Been a while! Quite amazing to be the reason why Steve would write a song - also bizarre how things work out, I found the other day the CD you made for me of SOH, Seth and the Oysterband.. played it in my car! Thanks for enlightening me all those years ago!

all the best

Dave

If anyone wants to see what sort of stuff we are doing now, we've just put up a new video of a live session -

Would be great to hear anyone's opinions on it - bit of a fresh direction for us.
