Hi there

I have the Graham Townsend CD which has a Waltz by name of
'Waltzing Through the Leaves' on it...

But...   I am unable to find online anywhere where I might
buy Sheet Music for this.

Would anyone know of a site where I might buy the sheet music
(for 'Waltzing Through the Leaves' by Graham Townsend) ??
...or would anyone out there happen to have this Sheet Music?

Thanks so much,

Gladys

Thank you so much for your reply!

Yes, I did notice the Prairie Mountain Fiddlers 'arrangement' of
'Waltzing Through the Leaves' .. I printed it out a few weeks back, learned it, but, actually, it is not at all as Graham Townsend (who wrote this waltz) is playing it...

I would like to find Graham Townsend's actual sheet music for this beautiful Waltz. I learned it some years ago.. but learned it in the
key of D.. would like to find original sheet music (Townsend wrote it in Key of A)

Again, thank you so much for replying.. it's much appreciated

Gladys    :)

P.S.
If anyone not familiar with this Waltz and who wants to give a listen to it...   this Graham Townsend CD is available for download

Hi there...
Yes, the MP3 did come through on my
slingerlandwilson@yahoo.ca
email... thank you so much!!!

I have hit 'reply' on your email with the MP3 attachment..
extending my thanks!!

Yes, I agree... Wally Bloom is a great Fiddler; I had not come
across his name previously...even though I had an online Fiddlers group with over 300 members up until about 5 yrs ago... so I am
very appreciative of your sending this to me.

I have found a music supply where I am able to purchase Graham Townsend's Sheet Music for 'Waltzing Through the Leaves'... and I
visited the Oregan Fiddlers site... had a nice letter from them... I love their 'Tune of the Month' feature.

Once again, thanks!!

Gladys    :)

Hi, Louie.
I read (accidentally) that you got 33 old albums of Slim Whitman. How can we do to... talk about it? :o)
Do you have a phone number? Or an email?
Mine is marius.rocknroll@yahoo.com and I'm a huge Slim Whitman fan from... far Romania (eastern Europe)
Could you send me an email, please?
Regards,
Marius

I realize this thread is pretty 'old' but worth a try.

Gladys, did you ever find sheet music for this tune? I play with the Prairie Mountain Fiddlers and I cannot stand the version of the song they play. If someone has a good copy of the song (reasonable audio without too much scratch in the tune) I can work it out by ear and try and wrote out the score. I play by ear but can read/write music. I actually picked the tune up at a dance a while ago but we played it so early in the night I forgot it by the time we got home.
I would LOVE to play it as Graham plays it!

email: amanda.donald@gmail.com if it is still possible to get a copy of the tune that would be very helpful?!?!

wow!!! awesome thread. I am on a quest for any mp3s of Wally Bloom's fiddling. Met Wally at a jam at Roche Percee, Sask. I was a new fiddler and deeply impressed with his style. Waltzing through the Leaves is my current challenge. Anyone reading this post with suggestions as to obtaining old cassettes released by Wally please contact me through email. mtarnes@sasktel.net
