Just wanted to let catters know that I am back after a two-year hiatus fighting throat cancer, and, for at least this first battle - I WON. I am currently considered - on the basis of a battery of tests - to be CANCER FREE. They killed me with chemo and radiation, but my head didn't shrink, I didn't require surgery, AND, I can still sing!

Earlier this month I made my "comeback" at the North Texas Irish Festival with great success. Doing five shows in two days with wonderful audiences and attendance, folks came to their feet and poured out their hearts - one couldn't have asked for better.

Friday we are off to San Antonio, Texas for to sing at their Games & Celtic Festival. Further, a new CD is in the works with recording beginning in early May; and, the children's shows will be continued and expanded with my "kids" partner, Linda King. Also, Jed Marum and I have started work on a new project that is a follow-up to "Into The West - Celts In Texas," which we did a few years back.

I couldn't get onto Mudcat for over a year, now I've got to try to get resigned and get back aboard. It's great to be alive y'all. Cheers,...oh,...and don't forget - GO RED WINGS!

~S~ I hope that your Pens go right on up to the door at "The Joe," but no further. With that written, it should be noted that I've come full-circle on Crosby and I actually missed him while he was gone. He is not the NHL, but he is a big part of it, along with Datsyuk, Ovechkin, Lidstrom, Malkin, Selane, etc. It's nice to have him back.
