This from Jon Tams web site - may he recover quickly.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE Some time ago John was diagnosed with polyps on his vocal cords. Surgery was performed earlier this week and by the afternoon John was sitting in his garden sipping tea and honey. Excellent news! However, there is a lengthy recuperation period after an operation of this kind, so we've had to make some changes to the concert schedule (see below). In order to avoid putting undue strain on John's voice we have recruited Joe Topping to help out on the noisy stuff, but John will still be Master of Ceremonies/compere/singer-of-the-quieter-stuff until the recuperation is complete in July. The Half Moon shows will be re-scheduled to the first week of October. The rest of the gigs are as follows: Sunday 6th May - Wath Festival, Wath-upon-Dearne South Yorkshire, featuring Joe Topping Sunday 13th May - Folk on the Pier, Cromer, featuring Joe Topping Friday 25th May, 2012 - The Pavilion, Hailsham, featuring Joe Topping Saturday 26th May - The Forge Bounces, Basingstoke, featuring Joe Topping Monday 9th July - Nettlebed Village Club Tuesday 17th July - The Stables, Milton Keynes Saturday 21 July - Clair Hall, Haywards Heath Saturday 4th August - Wickham Festival, Hampshire Friday 28th September - Farnham Maltings Thank you all for your kind messages and good wishes. xxx

What a great excuse to drink gallons of tea and honey! :0) xxx
