Kendall, the Star Folk Club is still in business -- though possibly in its third or fourth venue since you were there 22 years ago!
Unfortunately it wasn't possible to get Judy in there because they already had their programme in place, but Glasgow Ballad Workshop was delighted to be able to host Judy.

We WILL enjoy and appreciate her, but I suppose we'll have to send her and Dennis back....

Is the Star Folk Club still in business? I performed there 22 years ago and I was well received.

Don't miss a chance to see/hear Judy, you will be glad you did. Just make sure you send her back here!

Having a lovely tour, lots of good songs, good friends, good times, and plenty of ballads. Looking forward to Kiveton Park, then Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh.

Judy

Leadfingers, trust you're having a grand night in Maidenhead with Judy's songs -- even as I type!

We're very much looking forward to Judy as a guest at the Ballad Workshop on 15/4/12, and places are filling up nicely -- but I'd urge anyone in our vicinity to book their place in advance, to avoid disappointment. (PM me here, and I'll get back to you to confirm your booking.)

randjgc, it's Glasgow Ballad Workshop which will be hosting Judy on Sunday 15th April in Avant Garde bar in King Street (formerly Laurie's Bar) -- doors open at 12.30pm for a one o'clock start, and prices are £6/ £4 conc.
Space is limited, however, so anyone wishing to book a place could pm me here....

For anyone who doesn't know the Glasgow Ballad Workshop, this is our third year of running workshops and guest events: our guests in the past have included Sheila Stewart, Ray Fisher, Arthur Watson, Sara Grey, Tom Spiers, Brian Peters and Kevin Mitchell -- and we're really looking forward to having Judy, whom several of us know of old!
This will be an afternoon of ballads and songs from a passionate advocate for traditional music, but there will also be fun and variety as well as gory murders and dirty deeds.

Hoping that you'll manage along, randjgc, and please introduce yourself if you do.
