I play this tune by ear on the dulcimer and would love any info about its origins and in particular which queen it refers to. I heard it originally on a CD of medeival music so if anyone can help, fantastic!

It's on the York Waits's CD "Music from the time of Richard III", which should narrow your choice of queens down a bit. (I don't have the CD, but Saydisc's liner notes were usually good).

The tune is printed in Bodleian ms Digby 167 fol31v (1450-1475). The tenor is in stroke notation and the cantus in mensural. (see Aspects Of Stroke Notation In The Gruuthuse Manuscript And Other Sources - van Biezen & Vellekoop)

It was printed in facsimile and transcript in Stainer's Early Bodleian Music. Sadly this isn't available in archive.org

This: DIAMM project looked interesting. If I read it correctly they are (or were) intending to make music mss available digitally. Sadly the entry for Digby 167 f31v says the image is not available. Since the About page (and a few others I checked) was last updated in 2007 it's not clear if the project is ongoing or not.
