Subject: Lithuania folk music? From: GUEST,Gazza2 Date: 18 Apr 12 - 05:01 AM Travelling around Lithuania to escape the Olympics this summer and taking any small instruments Ryanair will allow in my handluggage. Has anyone found any venues in Palanga or Kaunus that have song, dance and music? We'll re-visit the lovely ladies in the Folk Museum in Kaunus, offering a few songs and tunes and a gift of a tin whistle, in the hope of being allowed to play one of their quirky melodeon exhibits and the amazing bark horns! |

Found the place by accident a few years ago while bag-carrying for my wife at a conference in Kaunas. Enjoyed a great visit. I don't recall hearing live music in pubs etc. - though the beer was fine... Regards |
