I am a fan of Valerie Tutson. I haven't heard her in a long time. I'm glad to know that she is still performing.

The Riverway Storytelling Festival is in progress this week. Ghost stories Friday, funny stories Saturday evening in large settings, and several story swaps in various halls and libraries in the area. It's a trek for me, but my son and I went a couple years ago and had a great time. ALL THE SHOWS ARE FREE, but they do ask that you call for tickets (phone number is at the bottom of the page). I certainly envy the ability of the NYstate and Albany educational folks the skill in putting together this great mix of professional tellers, local amateurs, and kids for a wonderful time. If you're anywhere nearby, GO!
