PS: In case it does help the Cat, I clicked on the Twitter one and the two Facebook ones (since I'm a member of both those networks) and found a very well-behaved little box, only a few inches big, with just the latest newsbytes, not the whole back yard. I would point out that it's *not* one of those nerve-destroying "share" things which automatically posts stuff into your timeline and broadcasts it for all to see (I HATE those!!!) but just a small dialogue-box.

Though I see the items on FB & TW anyway, if it helps Max I'll drive-by click them while I'm here, since they don't hijack you.

I think it must be a Mudcat thing, not an external invasion. On four different browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Camino) I get it, but only on my Personal Page - this happens whether I'm logged in or not. It would bother me if it popped up on the main front-door page (and having to mouse down and click on something every single time to make it disappear gets old, fast) but I don't mind it on my membership one. Where it's placed is pretty unintrusive IMO.

Anyway, don't those click-through things help Max in some way? Raise his web-stat ratings or something?

There was another thread started, we didn't sort it out over there either.

Kinda' like my money. My checks have these words just above the signature line:

"MONEY TALKS, MINE SAYS GOODBYE"

I used to have it, now it's gone.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Found it - yes, it was on my personal page but just clicked on 'Minimise' and it went away.

Jeri - well-I-never!

I found the toolbar on my personal page when I Temporarily allowed the whole page. But it didn't appear the next time I looked at my personal page, so I won't see it again.

I use www.mywot.com - WOT is a community-based, free safe surfing tool for browsers that provides website ratings & reviews to help web users as they search, surf & shop online.
When I can't do something on a page (eg. see a video) I temporarily allow it

I see a small "Share Thread" toolbar in the dark blue bar just above the "reply to thread" box. Not something that I'm going to use, but not bothersome. I also use Firefox.

Sandra, I have Firefox, and the toolbar is only (as far as I've noticed so far) on my Personal Page.

CJB, didja try clicking on the little "minimize toolbar" arrows on the right-hand side of the toolbar?

I doubt it's a Mudcat problem. I'm certainly not affected and I'm on Mudcat every day.
Is it a browser problem? I use Firefox and refuse to let Internet Explorer access anything.

The 'share' bar is FAR less intrusive than it was formerly. I hadn't even noticed it till now! Previously a box would pop up every time the mouse accidentally swept over the share icon, which was regularly for me -I think I inadvertently 'shared' a couple of things without even realising it with the former pop-up box. No beef with the bar here.

It seems to have been installed as part of a message when some Mudcat hardware updates were being completed and has remained after these updates were completed.
I agree that we could do without them.

It seems that its a trojan virus from http://wibiya.conduit.com/ AND am I sick of removing this crap. I get this time and bl**dy time again. I was hoping at least Mudcat would be immune from it.

As I'm browsing Mudcat I keep getting a damned toolbar at the bottom of the screen trying to get me to click on Facebook, or Twitter, or some other inane app. I have neither the time nor patience to use these - and I don't wish to have yet more toolbars cluttering up my screen especially ones I haven't installed. Is this a new feature of Mudcat to irritate us with, or have I got yet another toolbar virus? If the former how do I get rid of it? If the latter how do I get rid of it? Thanks.
