Heading might be a mistake,
But I'm trying to organise this Swedish Dance troup to visit Britain. More decisively, Southern England. Perhaps next year. Or even later.

Just who would be intersted ? And who would take it on ? And who makes the decisions ?

Swedish Dance Group

As you will see they can already dance some English dances. Guess who taught them that.

By the way they have been to America and Last year were in Estonia.

Sort of. "Have Dance, Will Travel" Crowd.

Country dance displays are rather out of fashion these days. There are a limited number of strongly dance oriented festivals that might be interested. Eastbourne is probably the best place to start and, hopefully, they may also be able to point you towards other suitable contacts.

Cheers PeterC

Thanks for the heads up. Shall check them out.

I already have three local dance clubs that would welcome them for their evening of dancing. Just a bugger to organize such a large movement of bodies.

I see that you and I have just missed this year's Scandimoot. You should contact the organisers anyway, as they have a strong interest in Swedish dance.

Felipa

scandimoot
Interesting.
But could be a bit far North for our lot.

But thanks for the tip. Could be something for other people I know over there in Sweden.

There's also, pentreffest

in Wales that I know about.

Chippenham have a big dance display section. I think they give team members free season tickets and camping, but keep them so busy that they can't really use the season tickets for the events they'd like to go to beacause they are getting ready to perform somewhere else.
Great festival, end of May.
