Subject: RE: Slide From: GUEST,999 Date: 26 Apr 12 - 11:48 AM This is Bobert we're talkin' about here. He wets his finger before testing light sockets. But he knows his way around a slide guitar. |

Subject: RE: Slide From: GUEST,999 Date: 26 Apr 12 - 12:27 PM Amos, consider that line stolen. |
Subject: RE: Slide From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 26 Apr 12 - 01:48 PM It depends on the slide guitarist's specific style. He may play acoustic or electric. If acoustic, he may play bottleneck or lap-style. If bottleneck, he may play on a regular acoustic guitar, a wood-bodied resonator guitar, or a metal-bodied resonator guitar. If lap-style, he may play on a modified regular acoustic guitar, a Dobro, or a Weissenborn style guitar. If electric, he also may play bottleneck or lap-style. If bottleneck, he may play on a regular electric guitar, or the amplified version of a resonator guitar. If lap-style, he may play on a lap steel or a pedal steel. I count that to be ten different ways to play slide guitar. We slide players can't even make up our minds how it should be done and you want to know how many of us it takes to change a lightbulb? |
Subject: RE: Slide From: GUEST,Hookey Wole Date: 26 Apr 12 - 02:42 PM "How many slide guitarist does it take to change a light bulb?" almost an infinite number ???? However many are in the room taking it in turns to run the bulb up and down their guitars deciding if it sounds any better than a beer bottle neck !!!?? |
Subject: RE: Slide From: David C. Carter Date: 27 Apr 12 - 05:15 AM If Bobert plays his electric slide guitar, naked, whilst taking a shower(every 6 months, wether he needs one or not)he ain't going to need to change no light bulb! He'll be just another "flash in the pan". I'll get me coat |
