I spent time today in Montgomery Ala. I went to Hank's museum and to his gravesite. I also went to his birthplace in Mount Olive.
One more mark on the checklist!

Whew!
From the thread title, for a moment I thought you'd soured on Hank.

Glad to know he's "off" your bucket list because you got to visit his museum and gravesite and pay due homage.

Lucky you.

Genie

I was worried as well. HW was the first music I really listened to, and still do. I envy you being able to visit his museum etc

Ever hear "Hank and Fred" by Lowden Wainwright III?

I plead guilty for making the thread title a bit catchy. Like so many catters I grew up listening to Hank over and over until I learned his songs by heart. To stand by his grave was just my own small tribute. The blue Caddy is in the museum and to stare into the back seat chilled my spine a bit. To think that he was just 29 and what might have been............
Midchuck, I had not heard it until I just found it on YouTube. It's great, thanks!
I took my guitar out of the trunk and stood beside Hank's statue and had my wife take a picture.

Sandy, just to make sure we don't keep giving ol' Hank a slap in the face, I added a bit to the thread title. Hope you don't mind.
I thought of changing it to "Hank Williams pilgrimage Off My Bucket List," but that sounded a little overwrought.
