Subject: RE: Still Jerry After all these years From: GUEST Date: 10 May 12 - 12:18 AM Nothing happened on Mudcat, Rapparee. I just feel freer to express my whole range of interests on Facebook. I also love being able to post videos and songs easily. I still have many folkies friends on FB, as well as Faithbook friends. No, I'm not lisping. :-) |

Subject: Still Jerry After all these years From: GUEST Date: 08 May 12 - 09:23 AM This morning, I exchanged a couple of e-mails with Peter Twitchett, read FB posts from Jimmy Todd and saw a photo of him and Leadfingers. I also ran into many Catters at the Getaway in D.C. a little over a year ago. I am very active on Facebook, but rarely drop by here anymore. Peter suggested I put up a post on Mudcat to say hello to my many friends on here. This is it. It's not that I'm not active in my life. I finally had a CD of acoustic traditional and original gospel music mastered and it is ready to release. I'm waiting on cover photos for the CD, my seond book, Lord Send Me, and a new gospel CD I am currently working on. After many ye3ars of inactivity, I've revived my gospel Quartet with a new member, and we have our first concert coming up in August. Last Fall, I was one of the performers at a one day festival celebrating fook music in the sixties in Greenwich Village, where I first started performing in 1961. It was a chance to renew my frienship with Luke Faust, who I was performing with, over fifty years ago, and we're trying to pull together enough music to do a concert later this fall. I'm blessed with great health, as is my wife Ruth. We're still traveling often and we still do a monthly church service with my good friend, Rev. Ken Smith at a local nursing home. Other than that, we're just sittging around, doing nothing. :-) I hope all is well with all of you. Jerry |
