I heard Graeme Fife's play A Misfortune At Seaham, about the 1880 mining disaster in County Durham, on Radio 4 Extra this week (8 May 2012). I recommend it to Mudcatters not only because it's a good play but also because it features songs by the great Jack Elliott of Birtley.
You can hear it on the BBC's listen again service at http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01h8vhd/Graeme_Fife_A_Misfortune_at_Seaham/
