Subject: RE: Banner man (blue mink )chord help please From: Stanron Date: 28 Aug 12 - 03:03 PM The version on u-tube is in B flat. I put a capo on guitar 3rd fret and worked out the chords in G. They should be doable on a Uke. A couple of points first. Slash chords, i.e. G/B, mean play the chord G with B in the bass. On a uke you could just play the chords and maybe get other players to play the other notes. The end of the verse and chorus sometimes has syncopated chord changes and sometimes not. Play it by ear if following the chart is tricky. Play one beat for the chord symbol and one for each full stop. (These are fast beats rather than slow ones. 4 beats per bar.)
Good luck. |
Subject: RE: Banner man (blue mink )chord help please From: GUEST Date: 04 May 13 - 05:45 PM I've put some notes on my blog about transposing Bannerman to other keys. http://solidharmonic.wordpress.com/2013/05/05/uke-playing-the-bannerman/ Stanron's version provides more info than mine in terms of rhythm and base notes. I get the same chords as Stanron generally, except the verse line starting, "and the banner man held..." is a minor chord rather than major I think. |
