Martin Simpson
We are delighted to be welcoming Martin Simpson back to the Goose for the third time.

Described by the Sunday Times as "one of the UK's finest folk musicians", and arguably the best acoustic guitarist in the UK. BBC Radio 2 Folk and Acoustic Reviews said "Although it's his guitar virtuosity that's frequently lauded, it's as an interpreter of song that Martin Simpson really scores."

Martin has been nominated an astounding 23 times in the eleven years of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards - more than any other performer - with 9 consecutive years as nominee for Musician of The Year, which he has won twice. 2008 saw an incredible 5 nominations for "Prodigal Son' and 2 wins, whilst in 2010 he had an unprecedented 6 nominations for his CD, "True Stories" and a win for Best Traditional Track, "Sir Patrick Spens".

James Riley
A "fiendishly proficient" guitarist, singer, and a roadrunner to match, James chronicles the story of his experiences through clamorous, jubilant bluegrass 'n' soul and exquisitely spun yarns, sewn through ethereal, almost hymn-like ballads of love and life.

James has been pedalling his unique class of pulsing, brazenly catchy acoustica throughout London and the South East, steadily gathering a word-of-mouth buzz in his wake. He also played on the same bill as Buddy Guy in Chicago and has played in venues far and wide, from Amsterdam to Istanbul

Roger the Chorister
Roger the Chorister are Rachel Bridge (vocals and occasional bodhran), Royston Ford (vocals and occasional guitar), Richard Bridge (vocals and occasional guitar or mandolin or bodhran) and Sam Mathews (dumbec).

Their main emphasis is traditional(ish) English vocal harmony, with attitude.
