The next Horsmonden traditional music class is on Wednesday the 23rd May. The tunes - a tad simpler this time - and Grandfather's Tune and Three Around Three and they are on the website now.

I'll teach the third - a nice simple one - by ear, and in bits at a time, on the night and put up a YouTube later.

We'll likely play a couple of tunes from earlier classes to warm up, but the real work of the evening will be to concentrate on the new tunes, which we'll play steadily and slowly, only moving on to the next one when it seems right to do so. We'll also spend some time thinking about how we can tackle the tunes and make them lively, danceable and interesting.

Towards the end of the evening, we may retire to the bar for some rather more informal sessioning!

The trad music class meets at the Gun & Spitroast pub at Horsmonden at 8pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. The classes are free and all are welcome. If this email doesn't really apply to you, please don't throw it away - please pass it to someone who might find it useful!
