Does anyone know the full lyrics to a gospel song that was popular about 20-25 years ago? The chorus went: Put your hand in the hand of the Man who stilled the water, Put your hand in the hand of the Man who calmed the sea, Take a look at yourself and you can look at others differently, By puttin' your hand in the hand of the man from Galilee.

Also, if you have chords that would help. I'm not sure I've got all the chords figured out. Looked for this song on Digitrad Database and other places with no luck.` Thanks for your help. John E.

Thanks, every one. I don't want to seem ungrateful, but it seems there's another verse -- maybe someone else added it. It goes something like: Every time I look into the Holy Book I wanna tremble, 'Specially when I read about how he cleared the temple .. . .. .. . . . .

I could be just imagining it, but I don't think so. All I know is I didn't dream that up.

The second verse goes something like this:

that's how I remember it. I never found that the words fit the music very well in this verse - maybe it was somebody's addition.

Johnny Cash did it some years ago and I recognize that third verse as being part of his song. Very pretty song in the right hands!

One of the women singers - maybe Anne Murray???? - also did it, with the Holy Book verse. I also always had trouble getting all the words to fit right with the music; I think it takes a "trained mumble" to get it right.
