Hi, folks,

The pictures from last weekend are up, as well as additions to several of the individual photo pages. I tried to put the names of all Mudcat members who attended the Get-Away under the picture, whether they were actually in the picture or not. If your name is not there, you are a Mudcat member, & you attended, please let me know, so that I can add it. We had a goodly number in attendance--truly impressive & such good fun & fellowship! Thanks are due to all the organizers & workers!

Thanks, bbc, for taking the time to work on the updates and get them ready for us all to *drool* over.:-) They look great!

One question though: the names are not listed in order of appearance in the photo, right? There are those of you whom I am sure of recognising, but several that I haven't a clue of. Am I just being dense?

You're not being dense, kat. Since I know I didn't meet everyone & it would be complicated to explain clearly, I didn't even try to caption, row by row. Also, I wanted to list the names of all who attended, whether they were in the photo or not.

BTW, before someone helpfully captions the picture, please bear in mind that these folks did not give me permission, individually, to post their pictures on the Internet. Not everyone would want a captioned photo of him/herself posted. Although my site is unadvertised, now that it is quick-linked on Mudcat, it is more accessable to the general public.

MMario--in one sense, we didn't get everyone together. There are at least 5 Mudcatters missing! And I know of at least 6 FSGW people (probably more) who have joined Mudcat since then or come out of lurk-mode.

MMario,

It was quite simple. Rita (Ferrara) was in charge of scheduling. One of the workshops she created was The Mudcat Cafe, a chance to hear those on-line people perfomr in person. Well, it was hard to resist, so I personally didn't even try. At the end of the workshop, it was suggested we all go outside for a group photo.

And that's how it was done.

I should humbly note that the 1999 FSGW Getaway now holds the record for the largest number of Mudcatters in one photo.

Any challengers?

As soon as the date is set, I'll announce it here on Mudcat! Right now, the most likely candidates are September 22-24, 2000, or October 13-15, 2000, depending on the availability of the venue.

BTW, I'll be performing with Three Left Feet, the English Country Dance group I strum for, at the MD Renaissance Festival this weekend (the final weekend). In case any of the local Mudcatters happen to be stopping by...
