Subject: RE: Music in Hospitals From: wysiwyg Date: 24 May 12 - 10:11 AM Here, folkies will have the edge, hands down: Performing at a Music in Hospitals concert is a very different experience to a public engagement and is both rewarding and challenging. Artists generally work amongst or close to their audience involving and interacting with individuals. Our musicians often feed back on the moving and powerful responses that they evoke during Music in Hospitals concerts, but these concerts can also present challenges that would not be found at public performances such as unscheduled pill rounds and tea trolleys! (Going to borrow that paragraph for a local kazoo band I'm in that specializes in nursing homes!) ~S~ |
