Subject: Parker Instruments From: alex s Date: 30 May 12 - 07:04 AM Scott Mann has sent me some great photos of instruments made by John H Calvert Parker from around 1890 to 1930 in Montreal and Vermont. Many look just like the (so-called) Irish bouzoukis and Sobell citterns which were heralded as modern inventions/adaptations. Just shows: there's nowt new.... (For French Canadians - plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose) |
