Subject: Review: It IS MUSIC From: JohnInKansas Date: 31 May 12 - 03:25 PM Where the Shacks Play Music You HAVE TO RUN the video clip that's embedded in the article to get any sense at all of what the article is talking about.. It is strangely musical. A lot of very strange people have obviously put a lot of work into doing something bizarre. Enjoy (if you can). John |
Subject: RE: Review: It IS MUSIC From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 31 May 12 - 03:42 PM I clicked it off when the damsel screamed. I don't have to be subjected to that. |

Subject: RE: Review: It IS MUSIC From: JohnInKansas Date: 31 May 12 - 04:14 PM It's obviously not your ordinary Folk jam, and perhaps not for the narrow-minded, and while the scream was a bit abrupt it did fit into the overall composition and didn't last long; but of course you don't have to hear it all to render a judgement. They seem to be missing a decent barn-door bass and a jug chorus, but the assembling of that many "compatible lunatics" to organize and play "found instruments" all together was rather impressive to me. Subject: RE: Review: It IS MUSIC From: michaelr Date: 31 May 12 - 06:26 PM I think that's brilliant. And yes, it is music. Thanks, John! |
Subject: RE: Review: It IS MUSIC From: Leadfingers Date: 31 May 12 - 06:50 PM No worse (IMHO) than some Modern 'Classical' or Avant garde Jazz |
Subject: RE: Review: It IS MUSIC From: Tootler Date: 31 May 12 - 07:32 PM It had a certain rhythmic energy. Yes, definitely music (but not as we know it) |
