From within Windows Explorer as Joe has explained, or from within Windows Media Player work within a view that shows the tracks, e.g. with an album open. Left click to hightlight the track then right click on that to edit. Whichever field the cursor is in is the one that may be edited.

If you are talking about the "title" in the music player software, you need a utility. I use dbPowerAmp converter which includes an ID-tag editor in the background. There are other standalone programs

Correctamente, Guest. In Windows Explorer, right-click on the file name and choose "Properties," and then the "Details" tab that appears. That tab contains all the information you'd want to change.

Right click it, click Properties, and one of the tabs should have it, I think it's under Details, but I'm not sure since I'm using XP at the moment.

That only lets me change the file name. I can't get across to the title.
