Frank has been broadcasting on Melbourne radio for many years.

You can't keep a (good?) man down.

Cheers

I recall having Dave Swarbrick's old band Whippersnapper at a gig in a theatre and we didn't exactly fill the place, a few spare seats going.

Never mind Dave, I said. You sold 200 tickets. The theatre manager informs me that last month poor Frank Ifield sold only 40 odd.

Quick as a flash, Swarb sang "I remember you...   And you, you and possibly you too......"

Perhaps Mr Ifield should have billed himself as "folk" back then? (Mid '80s.)

Paul, I would love to have listened to the show, but I was traveling from Staten Island, NY, to Annapolis, MD.
Will it be archived, and can I hear it at a later date?

I know from past threads that a lot of people in this forum are into traditional country music, yodelling and Frank Ifield in particular.

You may be interested to know that Frank will be my guest tonight (UK time 9pm-Midnight) on "Paul Hazell's World Of Country" on www.uckfieldfm.co.uk

You can listen live and join the live chat forum or email messages and questions for Frank to studio@uckfieldfm.co.uk

We will be playing Frank's music and talking about his influences, his work in Nashville and what he is doing today, nurturing new up and coming talent in australia. I hope some of you can join us.

If you tune in, please send an email to let us know you are there.
